September 2018 Newsletter

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Summer Reading Program.  We have 16 kids who reached their goal of reading at least 20 books this summer.  We also had a record number of adults who signed up for the adult program.

The Little Free Library project continues to move forward.  The material sot make the libraries has been purchased and the pieces cut.  Now we heed to assemble them, paint them, and install them.  We would like to thank everyone for their enthusiasm and support.  We should have everything done by the end of the month.  The library board voted to dedicate one of the libraries to Ted and Anita Ohmart for their long service to the community and to the library.

The rummage sale at the library went well. We raised several hundred dollars which we can put toward purchasing more outdoor seating at the library.  We will replace the aging flower box with a new bench and maybe add another bench to the front of the library.

Homecoming is here and we are excited to offer free books to the community.  Come on in and buy some cookies, too.  We will have free ice pops for all of the kids.  Stop on by!
