April Newsletter

The display case in the main room of the library has a beautiful display of birds and bells.  They perfectly mirror the explosion of spring colors and sounds that surround us at this time of year.  We are looking for people to contribute to our next display.  A gentleman from Thayer would like to share his collection of unusual rocks that he has found along the streets.  He doesn’t have enough to fill the display case.  If some of you have interesting, small artifacts that you have discovered in Thayer or in the area, would you consider letting us put them in the display case?  This could highlight some of the treasures found right below our feet.

We have a special offer for everyone.  As more people are vaccinated, experts warn that you may need to have prove of vaccination.  We will laminate your card free of charge.  Just bring them in and we will help you keep it safe.

We would like to mention some of the services that we offer along with books and movies.  We have a printer/copier.  We can send and receive faxes.  We can laminate papers up to 8 ½ x 11.  We have two little free libraries and a free book bench.  We have wi-fi both in the library and outside the building.  If there is something you need, we will try our best to help.

We occasionally have unusual offerings also.  Right now, we have several plants to give away.  We had to repot some of our plants so we have offshoots that we have rooted.  If you want one, it is yours.  We are passing along a donation of clean, empty egg cartons.  These are all first come, first served.

As always, we have new books and movies.  Come check us out!
